Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, September 6, 1946, to Jack and Ida Flaherty. I first lived at 6112 Lafaye St., then 4610 Music St. in the Gentilly section of the Crescent City. Attended Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
