The Flahertys bought this home in 1956 at 4610 Music St. in New Orleans in Gentilly Terrace, one block off Gentilly Boulevard between Franklin Ave and Elysian Fields Ave.  I took this picture in 1962.

I took this picture from the same spot on December 10, 2005, three months after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans.  Notice the water line on the lawn.  A neighbor told me that because of the terraces in these blocks, flood waters did not get into the home.
