Michael FlahertyBorn at Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana,  September 6, 1946, to Jack and Ida Flaherty.   I first lived at  6112 Lafaye St., then 4610 Music St. in the Gentilly section of the Crescent City.  For a comparison of the two homes when I lived there and after hurricane Katrina of 2005, click Music St. and Lafaye St.   Attended McDonogh #39, Gentilly Terrace, P.A. Capdau, Mid City Baptist (9th grade) and was graduated from John McDonogh High School in 1964.   Attended Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.


Thirty years in the radio business as Kris O'Kelly at great radio stations like Z-93 Atlanta B97 New Orleans, Y-98 and KIRL St. Louis, Kicks-106 and WSGN Birmingham, plus WHHY and WBAM Montgomery.  For a complete listing, go to the Kris O'Kelly web site.
  My radioVU Meter career ended in 1994 when I decided it was time to make a change.  Radio was an adventure which you can read about in my radio bio if you have lots of time.
 

 
In 2019, we built a home at The Waters at Pike Road outside of Montgomery, Alabama.
I live in Pike Road, Alabama, with my wife, Kathy, and have four sons, Kris, Kevin, Kerry, and Kyle.   Take a look at my Family Tree.
Michael is currently employed by the
