Born at Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, September 6, 1946, to Jack and Ida Flaherty. I first lived at 6112 Lafaye St., then 4610 Music St. in the Gentilly section of the Crescent City. For a comparison of the two homes when I lived there and after hurricane Katrina of 2005, click Music St. and Lafaye St. Attended McDonogh #39, Gentilly Terrace, P.A. Capdau, Mid City Baptist (9th grade) and was graduated from John McDonogh High School in 1964. Attended Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
